[PvP + Heals] Magicka / Templar – The Inquisitor

[PvP + Heals] Magicka / Templar – The Inquisitor

| Builder: @Nugelhoff | Class: Templar  | Race: Altmer  | Style: PvP Heals | DiGX: Yes |

Overview

Looking to put some fools to the Question, Medieval style? Perhaps you want to vanquish those deemed unworthy and grant salvation to legions of righteous allies. In either case, you’ve found the right build. The Inquisitor is a healing build with the ability to exert excellent pressure on enemies and provide superior coverage for frontline groups. The two keys to this build are stack spell damage (up to 3k with group buffs) and be versatile. Everything is based on the craftable armor set, Kagrenac’s Hope, which provides not only spell power but the fastest resurrections on the battlefield. Since it is craftable you can keep a full set on hand in both light and heavy armor sets. With two monster sets to handle DPS and heavy healing situations alike, this build is ready for anything the war in Cyrodiil can throw at it.

Main Hand: Toppling Charge, Reflective Light, Puncturing Sweep, Radiant Oppression, Structured Entropy  Soul Assualt

OffHand: Channeled Focus, Radiant Magelight, Breath of Life, Extended Ritual, Healing Springs    Remembrance

Potions & Food

While any potions will do, the versatility that using Essence of Spell Power give us is really hard to beat. It allows you to turn Structured Entropy into a flex skill slot. For food, this build uses Witchmother’s Potent Brew which gives us maximum Health, maximum Magicka, and some extra Magicka recovery.

Notes

  • When faced with heavy healing situations or groups that require a greater focus on healing, switch to the Troll King monster set.
  • Normally run the heavy armor option on Champion Point friendly campaigns and the light armor option on non-Champion Point servers as well as for PvE dungeons. This build will heal/DPS a successful clear of any hard mode daily dungeon as is.
  • Possible flex skills include Elemental Blockade, Crushing Shock, and the Elemental Storm ultimate.
  • In this build, any staff will do with Master staffs and similar weapons making this build even stronger. I prefer the ranged attack flexibility and passives of the fire/lightning staffs but for those wanting to stack another 275+ base Spell Damage equipping dual swords of Torug’s Pact is the BiS choice.
  • This build uses Kagrenac’s Hope, the Willpower Set, and the Grothdarr Set.

[PvP + DPS] Stamina / Dragonknight – Minor Threat

[PvP + DPS] Stamina / Dragonknight – Minor Threat

| Builder: @SharkWithALaserBeam | Class: Dragonknight  | Race: Khajiit | Style: PvP DPS | DiGX: Yes |

Overview

If you’re looking for an in your face, throw caution to the wind build, then look no further because Minor Threat is the build for you. Glass Cannon, check. Survivability, no … err yes, check! Minor Threat is a build which utilizes the self-buffing power of the Dragonknight class to provide the extra oomph that gives it such great survivability. Though a glass cannon in approach, make no mistake this build earns its living on the front lines, where it can be found merc’ing fools and cc’ing players attempting to flee with their lives. The key in this build is taking full advantage of the powerful passives found in the Earthen Heart skill line. Passives such as Battle Roar and Helping Hands ensure you have the resources to keep going in any fight. This means each cast of the cheap double CC, Fossilize, or your Igneous Shields grants you the minor brutality buff along with restoring 5% of your stamina. Couple this with using a low cost ultimate, such as Take Flight, and you will be restoring Heath, Stamina, and Magicka as fast as you can earn 110 ultimate. All of this gives Minor Threat versatility, synergy, mobility, and survivability. Coupled with raw damage penetration and 4k weapon damage (with buffs), and this is a five-tool player build if ever there was one!

Main Hand: Rally, Critical Rush, Dizzying Swing, Executioner, Fossilize    Take Flight

OffHand: Poison Injection, Shuffle, Hardened Armor, Igneous Shield, Resolving Vigor    Standard of Might

Potions & Food

Minor Threat really only uses one potion, Essence of Immovability. Truly this is a potion that every PvP build out there can benefit from; here it is useful to prevent being locked down in chokepoints and helps to mitigate the many high-risk situations this build will find itself in. The other potion is just the standard trash stamina pots, Essence of Stamina. These are dropped by nearly ever mob in PvE and perfect to inhale on demand when you need that extra boost of resources. Finally, Minor Threat uses Garlic Cod with Potato Crust, a max Health and max Stamina food.

Notes

  • The following skills make excellent flex options for the build; Caltrops, Noxious Breath, Dragonfire, and Choking Talons.
  • This self-buff / kill rotation can be done without ever breaking stealth; (1) Rally (2) Bar Swap (3) Shuffle (4) Hardened Armor (5) Draw a heavy attack (6) Release with Poison Injection (6) Bar Swap into a Critical Rush (7) Execute. This rotation may take some practice but is deadly once mastered.
  • Bow passives and Champion Point bonuses mean that this build is excellent at hit and run tactics, where shuffle and a dodge roll (which grants major expedition on the bow bar) helps you escape.
  • This build uses Spriggan’s, Viper’s Sting, and Kra’gh (one piece).

[PVP + DPS] Magicka / Sorcerer – The Crystal Storm

[PVP + DPS] Magicka / Sorcerer – The Crystal Storm

| Builder: @Arinvar| Class: Sorcerer| Race: Altmer | Style: PvP DPS | DiGX: No |

Overview

At its heart, the Crystal Storm is a shield stacking and Crystal Fragments spamming build. And as with most builds, timing is a critical part of succeeding with it. The back bar is all about defense, so you’ll want to double stack your shields as soon as the brawl starts and keep them up for maximum survivability. Combine this with dropping Daedric Mines and a quick cast of Resolving Vigor as needed, and you’re ready for even the most chaotic battles. The front bar is all about bringing the pain. Here rotation is everything, so start off by lobbing a Haunting Curse at them, followed up with a Mage’s Wrath. The next step is the tricky part; once those DoTs are applied it is all about looking for the Crystal Fragments proc. Mage’s Wrath also does double duty in this build as your spammable execution skill and the Overload bar is ideal for support/management, with its light attacks devastating even the hardiest of enemies.

Main Hand: Haunting Curse, Crushing Shock, Crystal Fragments, Mage’s Wrath, Streak    Eye of the Storm

OffHand: Daedric Minefield, Dampen Magicka, Hardened Ward, Resolving Vigor, Retreating Maneuver    Power Overload

Overload: Mage’s Wrath, Boundless Storm, Hardened Ward, Dark Conversion, Shattering Prison    Power Overload

Potions & Food

This build’s primary potion, Essence of Immovability, provides us with both immunity to disabling effects as well restoring health and magicka. The second potion, Essence of Detection, provides us stealth detection which is primarily used to prevent nightblades from escaping. For food, the Crystal Storm uses Orzorga’s Red Frothgar, which grants us increased maximum health and gives a big boost to our magicka recovery.

Notes

  • It is important to remember you never want to hard cast Crystal Fragments! If it hasn’t proc’d, simply maintain your DoTs and spam Crushing Shock until you get a Crystal Fragments proc.
  • We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the power of destruction staff bombing with this build; shield stack, consume an Immovability potion, cast your ultimate, streak into that group, and listen to your enemies rejoice …errr…die.
  • This build’s food/potions are crafted with the following ingredients; (1) Immovability – Lorkhan’s Tears, Bugloss, Columbine, Water Hyacinth (2) Detection – Lorkhan’s Tears, Torchbug Thorax, White Cap (3) Orzorga’s Red Frothgar – Clear Water, Comberry, Honey, Mint.
  • This build uses Julianos, Spinner’s, and Molag Kena’s Visage.
[PvP + DPS] Magicka / Sorcerer – Black Beard’s Cannoneer

[PvP + DPS] Magicka / Sorcerer – Black Beard’s Cannoneer

| Builder: @PathwayM | Class: Sorcerer | Race: Altmer | Style: PvP DPS | DiGX: Yes |

Overview

Black Beard’s Cannoneer was designed to provide a massive amount of AOE burst DPS. This build works by activating clever alchemist on its restoration staff bar, with a potion that grants immunity to disabling effects, and jumping into the middle of a group of enemies to annihilate them with the combination of proximity detonation, eye of the storm, and vicious death! Rest assured, this build is no one-trick pony; Pirate Skeleton, shields and a decent amount of stamina recovery provide enough staying power while surrounded by enemies to continue the blood bath!

Main Hand: Crystal Fragments, Crushing Shock, Endless Fury, Streak, Hardened Ward    Eye of the Storm

Offhand: Proximity Detonation, Healing Ward, Haunting Curse, Harness Magicka, Power Surge    Energy Overload

Overload: Dark Conversion, Volcanic Rune, Retreating Maneuver, Streak, Hardened Ward    Energy Overload

Potions & Food

This build’s primary potion, Essence of Immovability, provides us with both immunity to disabling effects and 10% spell critical rating which we lack elsewhere in this build. The second potion, Essence of Detection, provides us Stealth Detection which is primarily used to prevent nightblades from escaping. The food of choice is the Witchmother’s Potent Brew which is this build’s primary source of magicka recovery.

Notes

  • A charged restoration staff provides our lightning glyph a 65% chance to proc concussed with a single light attack; causing our opponent to take 8% more damage from all sources. The charged trait on our restoration staff also affects our destruction staff bar so all of the elemental damage on that bar will have a 220% higher chance to apply status effects… yeah… I know… crazy!
  • This build uses Vicious Death, Clever Alchemist, and Pirate Skeleton (2 pieces).
